Mohiuddin Ahmed

Mohiuddin Ahmed is the oldest Urdu poet currently residing in Scotland. Born near Allahbad, India in 1905.

His autobiography ‘Tale of the fifth dervish’ is written in Urdu and was published in Edinburgh. Most of his other poems are in the form of prayers for the younger generation. The Mushaira Committee and Bazme-Urdu proudly present a selection of his poems on this website.
