Rahat Zahid

Rahat Zahid is the Scotland’s best–loved contemporary Urdu poet and author of “Udass Galion Mein.” Rahat is the first Asian poet to translate Robert Burn’s poem, Auld Lang Syne, into Urdu which is on display in the Mitchell Library in Glasgow. She is an active member of Urdu literary organisations in Scotland, a journalist and a broadcaster of a local community radio station, Awaz FM Glasgow.
