Activcity is City of Edinburgh Council's new Sport and Physical Activity Events Calendar, and is part of our mission to make Edinburgh the most physically active city in Europe by 2020.

Activcity replaces what was previously the FutureSport programme. FutureSport was launched in 2000 with 12 events and grew to having 45 events last year.
With the growing need to reflect and promote physical activity events, the decision was taken to rebrand FutureSport and look at our priorities in terms of physical activity across the city.
Activcity will launch this year with 68 sport and physical activity events on the calendar and will work more closely with Active Schools, Edinburgh Leisure and local clubs.
Through our partnership with ClubSportEdinburgh, we will ensure that the people of the city are fully aware of events they can participate in, which in turn will help
In the middle of the day we will be hosting a corporate race with teams from Hibs, Edinburgh Rugby, Edinburgh Capitals, Forth One, EventScotland, CEC and Edinburgh Leisure before Councillor Steve Cardownie and Gavin Hastings officially launch the programme.
Following the launch there will be several further Activcity promotional days including Activcity carnivals at Murrayfield on Heineken Cup game days.
